Vote the Cape is on Haitus until the election following the November 2024 General Election

 

Vote the Cape provides a platform for Cape Coral ballot candidates to share their views on important city issues. A small team, with input from an advisory board and site users, pinpoints key issues and crafts questions for candidates to clarify their stances before elections.

Vote the Cape is committed to core principles:

1. The site will uphold neutrality and fairness.

2. Questions and issues will be balanced and open-ended.

3. Candidates' responses will be posted exactly as provided, but they must directly respond to the question or explain their criteria for future policy decisions.

4. Candidates may write a final open essay, with brevity favored.

5. Candidates can include links to their personal websites and social media pages.

6. Subscribers to the newsletter can contribute to the compilation of questions/issues.

The Issues/Questions will be revised throughout the election period, with candidates notified of any updates. Their answers will be displayed next to the version of the question/issue that was current at the time of their response.
